Starting with Ubuntu 9.04 I used the s2 tree for DVB without problems, not because the DVB in the later kernels didn't work, but in order to build vdr/sc/other things it seems they all depend on being in sync with the s2 stuff.

The point being that you might not need to do a clean re-install/downgrade to 8.xx to get things working. I figure the DVB stuff it fairly independent of other kernel stuff.

pointed to the dir? what do you mean?
I compile it by this way....
gcc -mmmx -fomit-frame-pointer -fexpensive-optimizations -funroll-loops -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl
then
export LD_PRELOAD=/var/bin/ca.so
and launch my cccam...
/var/bin/CCcam.x86_64 -s -C /var/etc/CCcam.cfg -d
and anyway it doesn't work.
I tries to make symlink
ln -s /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 /dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0
and settin in config different dvb api 'values' from 1 to 3
anyway, it just won't work....

hi pelingator,

first off. the prcompiling is not necessary in your case as you only have one device. second the newest hg of sc includes also a so called cccam2 protocol which allows multible cards anyway.

most important: try to set dvb API to "-1" in cccam.cfg as it seems to have some troubles detecting the card.

does the card work on fta's? if not your problem is not related to sc.

I had the same weird behaviour when i compiled vdr and forgot to point out the v4l-dvb dir in the config file.

please come up with some more details or try the "-1" thing in the cccam.cfg.

hm, with -1 it doesn't work too, but I've seen this....
<value> <1 = no dvb, 1 = dvb api 1, 3 = dvb api 3

and what do you mean about fta?

and yes, it would works correctly when I've got /dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0 ?
also I've few adapter0\1

-1 means that it will ignore the dvb-devices actually build in your system and just start the cccam server.

Maybe we start from the beginning. I assume you run vdr and want to get the sc plugin working???

You have a local cccam server on the same box that runs vdr? which distri are you using? Why do you want to use the preload stuff? if you have only one adapter you do not need this.

can you start the cccam server? from your prior post i take a no. if you can not start even with the DVB-Api = -1 trick something ist wrong with your cccam server.

So for getting a little bit ahead i need the log from cccamserver started with and without the preload function. please set DVB-Api = -1 to ignore your devices!

edit: FTA means Free to Air - non encrypted channels

my cccam works with -1, 1 and 3, unfortunately it just doesn't work with 2 value.
I found few channels, but I don't know encoded or not. actually I asking about device (/dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0), it's important? because my player want to use this....
