could someone please tell me if i need to do something besides starting CCcam with the "/etc/init.d/cccam start" command?

im breaty sure that nothing is happening when i run this command. my CCcam.log is empty and the user.log file has nothing in record from executing the command? and theres noting in the termial besides ;

/home/ventura# /etc/init.d/cccam start
Starting CCcam [email protected]:/home/ventura#

I did nothing other then add my C: line in the cccam.cfg.

i can see FTA channels in VDR, so i works fine... just need CCcam also thanks.

regards

Hi man

Great work!!!

Just a couple of questions:

1) can i use it with the "Skystar HD2" or do you think the best is the "WinTV NOVA-HD-S2"?

2) If are the same, do you know which is better supported on linux?

Thanks

Code:
[email protected]:/usr/local/src/ffmpeg# sudo apt-get install liba52-dev

Note, selecting liba52-0.7.4-dev instead of liba52-dev
liba52-0.7.4-dev is already the newest version.

What does the configure --help tell you? The error tells you that the configure script doesn't know that option. So perhaps the configure --help script can tell you which does.

It's standard Linux knowledge ;)

IMHO, go for the WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2. Why? Because the Hauppauge DVB-S2 don't have any problems concerning locking, instability, etc. Also, the Hauppauge DVB-S2 cards will be supported out-of-the-box in future kernel releases when S2API be merged in v4l (en then merged in the Linux kernel).

To all, S2API has been officially sanctioned by the maintainers from v4l as the new enhancement for today's and future support of new modulations like DVB-S2, etc. Multiproto has been abondened by the v4l maintainers and it will never make it in the v4l tree.

VDR 1.7.0 and 1.7.1 allready has patches to enable DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-S2 and DVB-T through S2API. As soon as the S2-3200 is supported, the original maintainer of VDR will implent S2API in future VDR versions.
