open-sasc-ng & multiproto & myth - 14-November-2008, 03:47

Hello,
i'm trying to set-up a mythbackend system (ubuntu 8.04) with multiproto and sasc-ng.
i own a TT-3200 S2 budget card
Downloaded mythtv 0.21, multiproto drivres and open-sasc-ng
compiled multiproto
patched & compiled mythtv
compiled (WITHOUT PATCHING) sasc-ng

I'm using newcs to decrypt scrambled channels using my own card.
Everything works like a charm on SD channels (myth multiproto and sasc-ng)
but i'm not able to watch any dvb-s2 channel (i'm able to scan 'em)

Tried to use szap2 (multiproto patched) and dd to produce a TS file
If i use the physical dvb adapter and issue
Code:
szap2 -a 0 -c channels.conf -p -t2 <channel name>
dd if=/dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 of=test.ts
i get channel lock but an empty stream (on scrambled channels)
if i use sasc-ng virtual adapter
Code:
szap2 -a 1 -c channels.conf -p -t2 <channel name>
dd if=/dev/dvb/adapter1/dvr0 of=test.ts
szap doesn't tell me FE_HAS_LOCK (like before) it simply "hangs"
but dd produce a file with decrypted audio but unreadable video

Seems to me an opne-sasc-ng issue
Can someone help me??
Many thanks

I take it you have used the multiproto patch here

#5403 (Patch for support DVB API 3.3 and DVB-S2) ? MythTV ? Trac

As a matter of interest have you had any success on any FTA DVB-S2 channels as there seem to be a lot of reports stating that the patch is not working.
Personally I am going to wait for kernel 2.6.28 and S2API support.
