Be sure to start CCcam with ca.so preload (you can download [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register] which has this included, check the /var/bin location for ca.c and run.sh. You need this). Also, if your DVB-card has a ca0 file present in /dev/dvb/adapter0 (example), remove that. It interferes with the ca.so preload and then it won't open the channel.

And make sure you have the following in your cardclient.conf :

cccam:127.0.0.1:9000:1/0000/0000:tmp/camd.socket

//Shalafi
Thanks Shalafi. but with your line in cardclient.conf vdr says that fails to connect...

The ca.c was already correct and it isn't any file called ca0 in /dev/dvb/adapter0.

Hi,

I am new to the forum and to the Linux / VDR in general.

I have a linux Debian etch working with vdr and bunch of plugins available at etobis (unfortunatelly all in German).

The VDR i have is 1.52 and i would like to install vdr-sc plugin but I have no idea how.

I have vdr-dev installed.

Please help.
Thanks,
Senad

It works, I use this configuration myself ;) Are you really, really sure that CCcam is started with the ca preload? Because of you get failure to connect, that means that the preload isn't used. I use the following run.sh script to start CCcam with the preload (location of CCam.x86 and ca.c in /var/bin):

Code:
#!/bin/sh
cd /var/bin
gcc -march=pentium -mmmx -fomit-frame-pointer -fexpensive-optimizations -funroll-loops -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl
LD_PRELOAD=./ca.so ; export LD_PRELOAD
while [ 1 ];
do
 ./CCcam.x86 -d > /var/log/CCcam.log
done
@basicsenad

I replied to your PM.
