Post Yavdr 0.3, VDR 1.7.16, opensc plugin, CCcam 2.2.1 - 12-March-2011, 18:53

first of all thx to shalafi and The Tom for the great help in the other threads. without you guys i wouldn't have made it this far =)

i have yavdr 0.3 vdr 1.7.16 opensc 1.0 (mirak repo) cccam 2.2.1 running.
yavdr 0.3a was installed from the iso.
fta channels are working.

the cccam webinterface (localhost:16001) shows that the opensc plugin is connected to the cccam via the /var/lib/vdr/plugins/sc/cardclient.conf
Code:
cccam2:localhost:12000:0/0000/ffff:ccserver:password
cccam 2.2.1 startlog:

cccam 2.2.1 webif output:
Code:
clients:

looks good but it is not working. i tried lots of different crypted channels using a local softcam.keys aswell as a c: line to an good cs server.

all stays crypted...

i read alot about configuring. but its confusing since
opensc seems to be different to sc and i didn't use anything yet on the vdr.

is it possible to see any log from the opensc plugin?
the osd menu tells me that the log path should be /var/log/vdr-sc
the file isnt there so i put it in there and gave it chmod 755
still not loggin anything.
the sc entries in the /var/lib/setup.conf from yavdr shows me this:

Code:
sc.AutoUpdate = 1
sc.Cardclient.Immediate = 1
sc.ConcurrentFF = 0
sc.EcmCache = 0
sc.ForceTranfer = 1
sc.LocalPriority = 0
sc.LogConfig = 1:13140eb:1ffffff,2:1:3f,3:7:3f,4:7:3f,5:7:ff,6:df7f:ffff,7:547:1fff,8:7:7,9:7:7,10:7:f,11:f:f,12:7:f,13:7:7,14:7:3f,15:7:ff,16:3c7:7ff,17:7:7
sc.LogConsole = 1
sc.LogFile = 1
sc.LogFileLimit = 1000
sc.LogFileName = /var/log/vdr-sc
sc.LogSyslog = 0
sc.LogUserMsg = 0
sc.Nagra.MinEcmTime = 400
sc.Nagra2.AuxServerAddr = localhost
sc.Nagra2.AuxServerEnable = 0
sc.Nagra2.AuxServerPass = auxserver
sc.Nagra2.AuxServerPort = 7777
sc.Nagra2.DropEMMS = 1
sc.PrestartAU = 0
sc.SC-Cryptoworks.DisableParental = 0
sc.SC-Nagra.AllowT14 = 0
sc.SC-Seca.Blocker = 0
sc.SC-Viaccess.DisableParental = 0
sc.ScCaps = 1 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
sc.SuperKeys = 0
sc.Viaccess.TpsAU = 0
do i need to use the preload tac and the order.conf with the opensc plugin aswell?? or is it related to the sc plugin.

i will write a full uptodate tutorial as soon as it runs =)
thx 4 your help

Hi mate
i'm also trying this solution from some days and my tests continue failing; have you try using CCcam 2.12?

Greetings

thx for your reply gianluca.
no i haven't tested any versions of CCcam below 2.2.1
maybe i should do that as soon as i got some time. currently im compiling the new vdr 1.7.17 wich was released today. it has support for truecolor osd skins and some fixes for hd.
there should be more people switching to yaVDR. it's awesome compared to the other vdr distributions.
i switched my environment to ubuntu 10.10 64bit for testing. i will post an update as soon as i made some progress on this one. i will also try to use oscam with the opensc plugin. my only problem is i dont have any cards here for testing at the moment and no server aswell.
update incoming soon. cheers winux

ok new vdr 1.7.17 is cool =)

well back to the problem. i managed to solve the logging problems from /var/log/vdr-sc
it was a rights problem. chown made it work. the sc plugin is logging now =)
it's good to have some messages in error solving.

i guess i found the other problem aswell why its not working..
when i start cccam via ./CCcam.x86 -d it starts and keeps running :

Code:
[email protected]:/usr/local/bin$ ./CCcam.x86 -d
19:33:03.958 CCcam: ======================================================================
19:33:03.959 CCcam: starting CCcam 2.2.1 compiled on Nov 21 [email protected]:35:58
19:33:03.959 CCcam: ======================================================================
19:33:03.959 CCcam: online using nodeId 8c0751da703c7172
19:33:03.960 CCcam: create 1 cam device(s)
19:33:03.984 CCcam: added 164 keys from /var/keys/SoftCam.Key
19:33:03.985 CCcam: added 21 keys from /var/keys/AutoRoll.Key
19:33:03.986 CCcam: added 51 keys from /var/keys/constant.cw
19:33:03.986 CCcam: parsed 0 entries from /var/etc/CCcam.prio
19:33:03.997 CCcam: added 1421 provider names from /var/etc/CCcam.providers
19:33:04.515 CCcam: added 11200 channel names from /var/etc/CCcam.channelinfo
19:33:04.515 CCcam: server started on port 12000

i found the problem when i was setting up the autostart for the cccam on systembootup...
i checked after boot if the process was running but it wasn't...

then i came on the idea to start the CCcam.x86 as root and i came up with this:

Code:
[email protected]:/usr/local/bin$ sudo ./CCcam.x86 -d
[sudo] password for htpc:
20:05:46.603 CCcam: ======================================================================
20:05:46.604 CCcam: starting CCcam 2.2.1 compiled on Nov 21 [email protected]:35:58
20:05:46.604 CCcam: ======================================================================

20:05:46.629 CCcam: added 164 keys from /var/keys/SoftCam.Key
20:05:46.630 CCcam: added 21 keys from /var/keys/AutoRoll.Key
20:05:46.631 CCcam: added 51 keys from /var/keys/constant.cw
20:05:46.631 CCcam: parsed 0 entries from /var/etc/CCcam.prio
20:05:46.641 CCcam: added 1421 provider names from /var/etc/CCcam.providers
20:05:47.157 CCcam: added 11200 channel names from /var/etc/CCcam.channelinfo
20:05:47.157 CCcam: server started on port 12000
20:05:47.157 CCcam: no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler
[email protected]:/usr/local/bin$
as root the CCcam.x86 keeps stopping... but it detects
20:05:46.605 CCcam: dvb api3 detected
wich is needed for the opensc to work i guess?!

20:05:47.157 CCcam: no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler
how can i get rid of that problem?

i already tried the method shalafi used in his tuts.
i made those 2 scripts, thx again to shalafi

sudo nano /etc/init.d/cccam
Code:
#!/bin/sh
### BEGIN INIT INFO
# Provides:          CCcam
# Required-Start:    $network
# Required-Stop:     $network
# Default-Start:     3 5
# Default-Stop:      0 1 2 6
# Description: Start, Stop or Restart the CCcam softcam
### END INIT INFO

# Shell functions sourced from /etc/rc.status:

# Reset status of this service
# rc_reset

#
case "$1" in
    start)
        echo -n "Starting CCcam "
	/var/bin/run.sh &
        # Remember status and be verbose
        ;;
    stop)
        echo -n "Shutting down CCcam "
		killall run.sh
		killall CCcam.x86
        # Remember status and be verbose
        ;;
    restart)
        echo -n "Restart CCcam "
        $0 stop
        $0 start
        # Remember status and be quiet
        ;;
    *)
        echo "Usage: $0 {start|stop|restart}"
        exit 1
        ;;
esac
# rc_exit
exit 0
and

sudo nano /var/bin/run.sh
Code:
#!/bin/sh
cd /var/bin
gcc -march=pentium -mmmx -fomit-frame-pointer -fexpensive-optimizations -funroll-loops -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl
LD_PRELOAD=./ca.so ; export LD_PRELOAD
while [ 1 ];
do
 ./CCcam.x86 -d > /var/log/CCcam.log
done
i installed the vdr-plugin-opensc_1.0.0+20101127.deb from the mirak repo, so
i took the /sc/contrib/cccam_ca.c included in the sourcecode (vdr-plugin-opensc_1.0.0+20101127-ppa1.tar.gz)
copied and renamed it to here /var/bin/ca.c

made the 2 scripts executable
chmod a+x /etc/init.d/cccam
chmod a+x /var/bin/run.sh

then i ran it with
sudo /etc/init.d/cccam start

ps -A shows that CCcam.x86 is running and the run script aswell but the webinterface isnt working and the /var/log/CCcam.log is empty.

now the funny thing.
as soon as i stopped the scripts with sudo /etc/init.d/cccam stop
i did get some entries in the CCcam.log

Code:
23:00:11.039 CCcam: ======================================================================

23:00:11.588 CCcam: no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler
Dreambox8000 yay :D:D
seems like the ca.c preload thingy keeps looping and holds the CCcam from starting...
that would explain why i dont get any log or the webif isnt working when the script is started.

any help is welcome and appreciated.
cheers winux

enter the directory

cd /var/bin

and try to execute just this command:

gcc -march=pentium -mmmx -fomit-frame-pointer -fexpensive-optimizations -funroll-loops -fPIC -shared -o ca.so ca.c -ldl

than look if ca.so is created calling ls

I'm fairly sure if you're logging in with sc/open-sc using a cccam2 line (user/pass) then you don't need to reload ca.so because you're not needing to create the socket.

If it's tripping up on the loading of ca.so then you should stop it from doing it.

sc and open-sc work with CCcam 2.2.1 fine for me.

thank you ant_thomas, well my open-sc plug connects to the ccccam as you can see in my first post but it never gets an active state on cccams webinterface + it doesn't start when i use the following entry in the /etc/rc.local

Code:
/usr/local/bin/CCcam.x86
exit 0
this is what i get in the syslog.

Code:

made some progression today =)

first of all.. my main problem was that the sc plugin was configured wrong =)
if your using a dual + tuner card like me and u have only one cable connected make sure that you go in the osd menu of the open-sc plugin and disable dvb adapter 2...
enable only as much as you have cables connected to your card.
i tried to put some keys to the opensc's softcam file to try if its working without cccam. and bam it worked straight.

then i turned the cccam back on and voila it's connecting and showing an active client.
the only problem i have now. it's telling ecm failed.
and it doesnt seem to catch the channel wich worked using the open-sc's softcam only, same keys in cccams softcam file.
well atleast i can see that it's connecting and trieing to get stuff for now =)

any clues? heres the log:

maybe this is your problem:
Code:
Mr 25 10:52:40.310 [general.error] too many CAIDs. You should ignore some CAIDs.
which is the result of this:
Code:
Mr 25 10:52:40.292 [cardclient.core] hostname=127.0.0.1 port=12000 emm=1 emmCaids 0000/ffff
which indicates a misconfiguration of your cardclient.conf.
Currently I think it looks like this:
Code:
cccam:127.0.0.1:12000:1/0000/FFFF:/var/xx/yy/zz/socket.file
So you pass EVERY CAID to the cardclient. VDR can only handle 64 of it.
Check your cardclient.conf file. You should limit the CAIDs to those you have keys for like this:
Code:
cccam:127.0.0.1:12000:1/0500,0d05,0648,0d95,09c4,1702,1811,1833/FFFF:/var/xx/yy/zz/socket.file
Check the README file and the cardclient.conf.example in the VDR sources for further details

"SimplyCa exit pidCa=0"
thas one errore it's ca0 present in /dev/dvb/adapterX
set in your config runvdr -P"sc -B0 -B1" or in your order.conf the seem one "-B0 -B1"
or type this command :
Code:
echo "-B0 -B1" | sudo tee /etc/vdr/plugins/plugin.sc.conf
Ciao

As I see you guys are playing with yaVDR + opensc + cccam. I'm about to install yaVDR since separate installation of Ubuntu (a lot of problems with sound being passed from motherboard to nVidia card), XBMC+PVR (LiveTV not working) and other things that I don't even want to think about... :)

Anyway, yaVDR seems to be what I'm looking for - simple install from ISO image - I hope it works this way.
But the most interesting thing for me on this forum, is if opensc works as cccam and newcamd client on LAN? I have separate machine for oscam+cccam, and it has to run separately so I can play with my HTPC with no freezing for others. I would actually need to put 2 N-lines (newcamd), 1 C-line (LAN) and 2 C-lines (internet) into the config file. Will that work?
