2 dreambox receivers 1 satellite - 22-November-2007, 19:13

Hi,

I got my dreambox 500s yesterday. I also have dreambox 7020.

I need another satellite cable to come down from the roof so that i can connect it to my dreambox. Now i only have single LNB. Do i have to buy a twin LNB?

Can i do it if i buy 2 way splitter and split the satellite cable into 2 cable?

If i put a cable on the "satellite out" that is on the dreambox 7020 and put it on the dreambox 500s "satellite in" will it work?

i'm a bit rusty on this topic, but from what i can remember.. i had problems when one decoder was on H(orizontal) pol and the other on V(ertical)..

hook it up, and check it out...

trial & error, the best way to learn....

Buy a double LNb. It is the easyest way to do it.
The LNB can only Horizontal or Vertical. If your 7020 has a channel with Hor. you only can watch on your 500 channels that are hor. the same with vert.

do you mean an lnb with 2 outputs or 2 seperate lnb's? the guy may be getting confused here.

A twin lnb is an lnb with 2 outputs and a dual lnb is 2 lnbs mounted onto 1 dish.

theres a difference
