500s Not moving the motor - 21-August-2010, 19:45

Hi

I got a dm500s (black series) and I loaded the Gemini project 4.2 and a channel list with no problems. I set the dish on 13east and managed to get the fta's, but when I tried to turn the rotator to the 19east position id did not turn.
In the setup I selected the option (many satalites via diseq rotor). This is not the first one I done but I could not get over this problem.

Can enyone help please ?

Regards
Jobon

Have you tried resetting the motor using the little pin hole on the motor body?

If u have cable between the dm and rotor over 20m and u have clone dm500s then it is normal, that it wount turn the rotor. Dm500s clone as original have lower as needed 13/18v. Most rotor needs to have exact 13/18v to be able to turn the rotor at all. Or u have not set correct rotor settings in dm menu for rotor settings.

the problem could be compatibility ,some motor seems not to communicate properly with reciever, try a different motor stab is d best.also you can try different image on the reciever,
another sugestion is that you save them manually ,go to d dish put it to hotbird on the reciever save it ,and do this to all satelite u want and try if it will move it.
to trouble shoot if all ok with motor, use different receiver to see if it works well with motor if not ,the motor is faulty ,goodluck
