Question cardsharing how? - 31-January-2008, 17:13

I have a DB 7020S and I'm interresting in cardsharing. But I don't know anything about it. I have had my DB for about one month now, and I know somethng about it I'm using PP, quit a nice thing to use.

But how can I be more clever on cardsharing? I have tryed in this forum to find some kind of manual "How todo" but I can't find anything.

So any thing which can help me, is interresting for me, here ore in a PM.

Anyone?

Kind regards
Linnert

Manuals/info not so easy to find - 07-February-2008, 09:31

When i first started out here looking for 'how do i...' it was a dark forest to me too, but you will see that when you start reading the threads you'll find you learn the 'language' of cardsharing pretty easy, which is somethiing you really need to understand.
Do not forget: it's not just a program where you can click 'start sharing'
Start reading and be patient, greetings, Yankeebass

Same Problem here - 11-February-2008, 10:25

Had my dreambox 500 for 2 weeks now and tried
reading the tutorials here, but to be honest they
all seem a bit hard to understand.

Keep reading about n lines and c lines but there
don't seem to be any examples... ie an example with an
imaginary server where we know the user name and password
etc and then show the lines in the config for that.

Regards

The examples are shown in the config itself!

Well as known the use of CS is somehow in the grey zone.
To share inhouse between the recievers u can use the same tutorials as if u choose to share outhouse. The last is sure illegal in the most countries.
Please ask specific to your question before posting.

To share u need the following:
1 machine that acts as a server and host the card.
A working LAN network.
A EMU like Newcamd and some client EMU like MgcamD
A few adjustments to mgcamd.conf
A few adjustments to newcamd.cong.
Some adjustments to the files that starts the emu's the socalled scripts.
Some few quetions answered on this site.

BUT first of all, read the tuts

Sorry, forgot:
1 machine that acts as a server and host the card.

Can also at the same time act as a client
