CCam 2.0.7 config - 17-February-2008, 00:42

Hi all!

Great forum, I've spent 2 days reading all (i hope) Tutorials and several posts, but I have some question.

I have one DM500S+ with Gemini 4.20 and CCcam 2.0.7 and one DM500S with Gemini 4.20 max var and CCcam 2.0.7. I have 1 italian Sky card (0001).

1) Thanks to all tutorials I managed to share from DM500S+ to DM500S in my local network, but i'm not sure my config is right.

In the master (DM500S+) I put this line in cccam.cfg:
Code:
#DM500 (client)
F: client_name client_pwd
In the client (DM500S) i put:
Code:
C: xxxxxxxx.no-ip.org 12000 client_name client_pwd
It is right?
How must modify these lines if I want that my client (DM500S) can't share to others? How to set to receive cards from other?
I've seen something like 4 0 0 { 0:0:3 } what does this mean?

2) Today I've tried to share outside my network for my friend, but images freezes every 20-30 seconds for 30-40 seconds!

My connection is 25 Mbit down and 2,5 Mbit up.
My friend has 3,5 Mbit down and 350-400 kps upload. He has DM500S with Gemini 4.20 max var and CCcam 2.0.7

It's the connection that is not enough? Something with the card frequency or my config is not right?
Port 12000 is forwarded on my router, should my friend also open this port on his router?

Sorry for my english and thanks to all again

Welcome Zolpho to the ECS.
Congratulation on achieving a share within your network. (other take note read the tutorials THEY WORK).
Your LAN share C and F lines are ok.
Your WAN speeds are fine you may need to overclock your card, there is a tut on that also.

Best to go ....
F: 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 } on F lines.
And C: alais.dyn**s port no { 0:0:2 } on c lines.
something like this because sharing more than hop2 makes pics very glitchy so is best to put all to 2 0 0 and no { 0:0:2 } ive found,
Well done congrats.

put all fast pings cards to top of your list on Cfg file this will make freezes become much less and open channl faster for you..
i always stick where i can with give= F: user pass 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }
and Take C: alais port no { 0:0:1 example.. >local card } or no { 0:0:2 example> hop2 } , this is rough guide but works for me,

Guys , do u actually use a xxxxx.no-ip.com name on local network sharing? why?

I might be wrong but i use local ip number (192.168.1.xx) to connect my DM600PVR to my CCcam server and it works much faster than with dyndns or no-ip

Dreambox ----> Server -----> Dreambox

better than

Dreambox ----> no-ip.com server ------>server (in ur case 500+) ----> Dreambox

I might be wrong about this but i have my setup this way and works great for me
