DM500S - Problem With Channels - 26-October-2007, 22:42

Hi Everyone,

I have a strange problem with channels that are Horizental . When I do search Only Vertical channels on the Hotbird are getting downloaded and working while other channels like Absat/SRG/RTL Germany that are Horizental are not showing up.

I have 3 satellite Dishes as following :

1St is located to Hotbird E13
2Nd Is Located to 2 Satellites Nilesat/Badr Sat
3Rd Is Located to Intelsat

I have 4-Port Disec Switch and Every Cable that comes out from Each LNB is going inside this Switch then 1 Cable is coming down to my DM500S.

When I use my Old Digital reciever and I do channel search I can get all channels. signal is perfect and everything is alright but when I replace it with my DM500S I dont het H. channels. I have used User Undefined Satellite setting which is the last one and Gave LNB No. for each of my 4 LNBs and All 4 I get signal from them and everything is alright but what is confusing me is Hotbird with not Loading H.(Horezintal) channels.

I went to Extra/Settings and downloaded satellites.xml.loader and then did new search on Hotbird but still same problem is there .

When I go to "Satellite configuration" and I select 2 Satellites Via Disec A/B" and I add Hotbird and Intelsat and I do new search on Hotbird I get Both V/H channels .

So can somebody advice me with what is the exactly setting that I must set inside satellite configuration section to be able to get all 4 Satellites channels instead of only 2 Satellite .

I am not using a Motor and all what I have is 3 Satellite Dishes Holding 4 LNBS and 1 Disec Switch with 4 ports that brings down signal from all 4 sats .

Waiting for everybody's advice.

hi I have the same problem you have. it seems our tuner inside the dreambox is faulty.

do let me know if you figure something out. I had to buy another box to get me going.

I did have the same problem, but i did fixit out...The problem is with your LNB or switch...because the receiver that you did use before has 500mAh tuner, and Dreambox has can been damaged. So if you chande thet LNB wich you have problem or if you have switch Eutelsat 4/1 i'ts not gonna work at all. Because the old switch can be diseq 1.0 but with dreambox is best to have diseq 2.0 switch...since I did change the switch about 1 year I didn't have anymore problems...

I hope you can find the solution...
