DM800 not booting -
07-June-2009, 20:46
Hi,
I have a DM800 and when I start it I get the GP2 "please wait" screen that is intermittently broken off by a coloured screen (blue, pink, yelloe, green, red)
Anyone have any expereience of this and how I can fix it?
(I have no command line expereience....)
Thanks
Tony

I am had the same problem, I bought DM800, a long time ago, I come home, I try to put Nabilo Image, came half way down, and does not go away, and so takes eternity, then I put the Gemini Image also does not go so, I take my DM800 in the sat-shop where I bought, sought the complaint, and they gave me a second DM800, after months, I came to ask what was the problem, they say that the Tunner had manufactured a mistake, it was so near me, does not necessarily mean that the so be with you.

if it's a tuner problem and if teedee has another tuner on hand (incl. DVB-C, DVB-T, etc...) then he could switch them and try out.
But overall, I read that the DM800 has many problems, i.e. stability issues, heat, etc...
A friend of mine has so many problems with his DM800 that DMM replaced the whole motherboard. After that, the receiver was stable and did not create problems.
If teedee has no luck with new image or tuner switch, then he should definitely install an original image from DMM. If the problem persists, he should contact DMM for a repair.
Good luck.

With my the first DM was a problem, the second that and now I have at home I do not have any problems, was the story about some DM800 series to become more heated than others, but in principle all the DM800 are warmed up enough, some other problems I have had no, as and many others, I think that it unfortunately some DM800 with the manufacturer's mistake.

When ever you have a problem you should flash with a cvs image such as OoZoon and not a modified image.
Also make sure you have the latest bootloader and drivers.
New drivers for the 800 were released yesterday.

yesterday I had the same problems with new my friend's dm800. I solve this with flashing box with serial cable ( not with ethernet) , it is more longer in time, but for me it helps- now is ok.
