DM8000 and Conax - 03-April-2009, 08:03

Which emu can I use for a Conax card? I have DM8000 with Gemini 2 v4.1. CCcam 2.0.11 works fine for another Viaccess card but won't recognize the Conax card. I tried Evocamd and MGcamd (with or wothout NewCS), no success.

There are no keys. It's Comhem, Swedish cable provider. Tried with CCcam on all possible ways but it just go "card init fail" every time.

it doesn't work in newcs which would host to the cccam server?
i know newcs reads that provider cards as i know ppl who use it but if the internal card reader of the dm8000 can read the card: i'm not sure

OK, so I should select CCcam 2.0.11/NewCS 1.65? Tried that too, it gives more sane response then but still no picture...

Yes, it works ok on my DM7025 but with Gbox. Never managed to get it working with CCcam.

OK, finally managed to get it working with CCcam/NewCS. I had to play with the settings on both for a long time and finally both cards work. The only problem I have is when I restart the box I must not have the Conax card inside. If I start with Viaccess card only and put the Conax card later it works fine.
