I have a WD mybook ethernet.
Pls advise me if the DM7020 can store files in this external disk and if the DM7020 can playback videos or mp3s stored in this external disk.
If yes please tell me how to.

What network access options does your NAS present? For example, mine offers CIFS/SMB and FTP. The Dreambox is a Linux box, so it should be able to do CIFS or NFS sharing no problems.

There may be a nice plugin to do it for you (I only got my Dreambox running yesterday, so I don't know), but if not you can Google for how to setup a CIFS or NFS connection to your NAS. It could be as simple as working out the mount command syntax and adding it into /etc/init.d/

AFAIK some people use NFS-mounted drives as their Dreambox recording drives.
