Hello,

I have a DM 7000 as server and a DM 500 as client. But if I put the correct lines into the different DM's I can't connect with the following setting.
"DM7000 - F: home sharing"
"DM500- C: DM7000ip 12000 home sharing"

But if I use the password and user of the DM7000 "root and dreambox" it works? can somebody explain me this and or what am I doing wrong.

Thanks

Which card are you wanting to share ?
Have you loaded an image onto either Dream?
for LAN share i would go for CCcam.

CCcam vs. gbox - 17-January-2008, 02:51

Hello!

Why do you prefere CCcam? I have to admit that my experience with CCcam is rather low. I have always been using gbox (now gbox 2.26) both for wan and lan sharing, but if CCcam has some advantages I should might consider to change, at least lan sharing.
Anyway gbox is quite easy for lan sharing. Just edit your lines in chwshare.cfg.
Box 1 with local card:
M: { "ip box 1" { "password 8 digits in hex" }}
Box 2:
D: { "ip box 1" { 3333 3333 { "password" { 2 2 }}}}

" to be removed
3333 is the port, but doesn't mather by lan.

Best regards,
Jobba, Bergen
dm500-gemini 4.2-gbox 2.26-60cm globesat-rotor-and luckily some working lnb:-)

I think this is not necessary for in-house sharing.
Thanks
