Is network switch the right way? - 22-November-2007, 22:48

I CS using a DB and cccam.
I plan to connect a 2nd DB to the one I have (that does the card sharing) so the 2nd box shares with the 1st (I will be using mainly 2nd box for reception and 1st box to handle the sharing).

Is a switch the right way to do it so that the 2nd DB shares with the 1st?

Will port forwarding from the router to the DB work across the switch?

The reason I'm not using the router is the it is on a different floor and I would either have to use wireless (which I'd like to avoid) or pass another cable through the house.

You can use a switch without any problem.
And port port forwarding is no problem through the switch.

best regards.
