Lan share - best way?

What is the best way to share between a DM800 and DM500 on a local lan?

Currently set up using F: and C: lines which works but also takes up one hop.

Is there a better way?
800 is running black hole 12 & cccam 2.1.3 500 also with 2.1.3 and Dark star II

Unfortunately you will lose a hop no matter how you do it.

Currently I would be using the DM500 as a server as these are capable of more peers/connections than a DM800. But in the future you might want to look into running your server on a Debian PC.

Only issue then is both DM's lose a hop but you have a more stable server capable of more connections.

Thanks for response. I suspected this was going to be the case and I do have the 500 as the server.

sozz to jump in i am running a dreambox600 as my server setup with clins in my home running 2 other boxes now how many othe clines can i have running with out messing anything.
