Problem with PVR function on DM800 - 26-January-2009, 22:58

I purchased external disk Verbatim 500 GB with e-Sata and USB but unfortunately this PVR function is not working well with my DB 800HD with Nabilo BH v0.7 (the same was with v0.6). This disk came out of the
box formated in NTFS. Of course I initialized it using Dreambox, but this initialization lasted too short, maybe max 3-5 minutes which I think it is weird for 500 GB disk.

Here is what happening.
When I record something and I want to watch all sorts of problems appear:

- sometimes no matter movie is like 100 minutes long, in record list it says like 64 minutes
- often when I want to watch recording and when I hit fast forward or rewind and then play, picture is lost so I must go again with fast forward or rewind to get the picture.
- then sometimes when I go fast forward or rewind I get green screen and box is restarting itself
- sometimes when I stop playing it returns to regular picture /tuner but regular program looks like it is on 2x fast forward, weirdly. Then I must start whatever recording I have, I must slightly fast forward or rewind and
then stop playing and then returning to tuner picture it is fine now
- then today for example happend that nothing from the recording list wanted to work. I hit play, no picture , and counter is not running either. Then I restarted enigna and it was fine after.

These are very anoying things and I really need to sort this out.
I see there is in blue panel option Mounting or similar. I did not performed this if this is maybe needed.
I don't know what format type disk must be but when i reach this disk from PC I see format is still NTFS, I don't know if this is good.
Anyway, please, I am asking for serious advice how to set this. If maybe I need to format it other way, please provide me with instructions.
Thanks

i would suggest to reformat disk in ext2/3
furthermore, what content are you recording: HD or SD ?

i'm not sure how fast the usb disk is being read, but it should be able to cope unless you are FF at 128x

you state all worked perfectly under nabilo V6 ?

Thanks , I already got this suggestion for formating ext2/3.
I am recording mostly SD channels with DVB subtitles which I am enabling on recording then. I am starting to wonder if this is the problem maybe and problems starts when enabling subtitles.
I am using disk connected on e-Sata port and no, it was not working on 0.6 version either.
