Return NDS card to provider?? - 28-February-2011, 17:51

Hi

Recently my NDS card got cancelled by a well known provider (for suspected improper use - it repeatedly lost activation every ~3 mths and required me to phone provider - I had not been inserting it regularly in the official box for updates... :( ).
The provider says if I think this is an error to return the card and explain.

My question may be difficult to answer but could the provider somehow tell if the card was outside its official box in a DB or had handled 'too many' ECM requests??

My thinking is probably not, but
i) could there be specific physical marks left on the chip by the DB reader
ii) are the faint heat marks on the card different if used in different card readers (boxes)
iii) does the card keep a record of how many ECMs it handled

I will probably not bother right now but if there are any thoughts.....

Do NOT return the card; you "lost" it...


Don't be surprised that I ask you to prove your locals; ECS does not need card fakers...
