Setting GBOX in 800se - 03-February-2013, 18:55

Hi,

I bought just yesterday an original brand new dm 800SE, have flashed it with the ozoon image, and now I want to install GBOX

All is working (local and peers) when I copy the "keys" folder in "var", but I have to copy it in "usr" if I'm not wrong.

When I copy the keys's folder in var, it's working, but when I restart my dreambox, this folder is erased.

How I could do for making my gbox working with the keys's folder IN "usr"

u must use the right path-->

usr/keys = e images....

/var/keys = e1 images..

just change your cfgs...to use the right path....

Someones advise me to add these lines to my gbox_cfg:

How did you install gbox.cfg file on your box, via ftp or did you download using remote? If its via remote then the keys folder is automatically added in usr/keys and that cfg file should work straight away without editing

What version of gbox are you using and again was it downloaded through remote or through FTP? With gbox.net the cwshare.cfg file format is changed slightly compared to older gbox versions

You should have dccamd already installed in the box so you should not need this line:

hi, and thank you for your rapid answer.
I tried your gbox_cfg and cwshare.cfg..... i'm sorry to say you it don't work :(

I'm using gbox 804, all installed with ftp (I don't use my remote).

Tomorrow I would try a new image (maybe newnigma) and see what happens with

Good to hear you've got it going slightly

How many peers do you have?

Test with a few, like 3 and see if they show online. Use cwshare.cfg file that is already there (downloaded with remote) but put lower values for I and X

Have a lot of peers (ca 40 peers...)

Tryed this day to reduce my cwshare.cfg with just 2 peers (my second box in my second house and another peer)...

In my debug.txt I see that gbox is constantly resending the "hello?" "hello2?" here?" command without an answer of peers.

I'm sorry you may think I'm noob in sharing...
EDIT : it was a problem of my router. Resolved by a full reset :)
