Sharing smartcard Help Plz - 21-July-2007, 22:56

Hello,I just bought 2 drambox500S and I also have 3 smartcards (Showtime, Orbit, ART). I have a router which my computer is connected to it.

I want to ask you guys how can I share 3 smartcards for the 2 dreamboxes I have simultaneously? I mean both user can watch what they want by connection through the router to the smartcards.

Can someone tell me that step by step please.

Thank you

if you're feeling lucky and have enough knowledge you could build a linux cardsharing server with more the 1 cardreader, i.e. one with 8 slots.

in that way your boxes can connect to it simultaneous

how to build that?
read a lot in this and other forums
use the search function in forum
use google
and if all fails
read the manual of the linux distribution
of ask again here ;)

BTW

this post doesn't belong in the 'settings' forum
but more in the chat or tutorials forum.

life is like a box with shares.. you never know what you gonna get...

If you have phoenix programator (3.57mhz) connect programator in one dreambox and in gbox.cfg in var/keys insert in V line V: { F0 35 } and that is all.
One card will work in DM slot and other in phoenix programator.

regards
