Can someone confirm this? Its a question on my mind as well. I understand it has to do with distance, i just wanna know the route this "distance" takes to get a clear picture of it.

Me <> My Client <> My Client's Client
.......................^
.....................1 hop

So:

Me <> My Client's Client = 1 hop?
Meaning that if i have a client with hop1 shares, he has client's with tose local cards?

Hop is the same as distance. Hop1 means the distance to your peer. Hop 2 is the distance to the peer of your peer.
your server->peer(hop1)->peer of your peer(hop2) etc.etc.
