The WEBINTERFACE internals

I need to know how the webinf communicate with the dreambox.

What actually sent to the dreambox when you click on Mount Manager in configuration page, this is just an example

When you do that you get a list of mounted devices How this happened.

I checked the sourse cose of the page but I could not figure out the mechanics of communication. Is it javascripts ???

All I need is an overview of the way they communicate with each other.
