if your using a MAC do you have bootcamp installed to enable you to have a dual boot system? I am sure that if you install a dual boot you will find it more helpful than waiting for repies for mac users.
I use MAC,Linux & MS and find that MAC is the hardest to run a MS emulator on to run DCC and other appz. Ftp is easy on mac and also telnet in to your DB.

Hey Folks, 1st message!;

To funkybrotha:

For instance, I use Transmit and/or Cyberduck => Very good enough.

Re: editing app try BBedit or SubEthaEdit or Texedit => Very nice!

Now, re: Dreambox ;)

Check this out guys => iDreamX, MPEG Streamclip, I would google it!

To Gavbam: "if your using a MAC do you have bootcamp installed to enable you to have a dual boot system? "

=> YES and I can Triple or Quad boot without any problems.

You sure? just a question.... Dual boot is not a problem, since at least I'd say since 2002 (hmmm let me think...);

AH OK I get it now !! Physics engine from Havoc (HL2, TimeShift) for instance, then you're absolutely right. Sure, around $1 Million for the licence, Apple Inc, said NO. Go F*ck yourself & so on etc.... Is it a mistake? I don't think so.

Now it's 2008, history could have been changed, no?

Hope to see U around,

MacFreak

Gbox is not available on a mac.

The ppc version doesn't work under linux on a mac either.

Gentoo Linux - Nexus-s, Linux VDR - 2 x ATSC HD cards, Hauppauge PVR 500 for analog US Cable, 3 x Hauppauge MVP's running Vomp on VDR, UK TV on IPTV.

Not a single sat dish at the moment. :-(

Hi everyone.

Stream to/from DB: VLC (excellent)
FTP: Transmit
New image in flash: (via network) Safari/Firefox
Settings Editing+more: iDreamX
Recording conversions/movie transfers: MPEG Streamclip

Everything you do in Windows I can do it on my Macs, except install/clear images in multiboot. Web interface works perfectly.

Streaming via Wi-Fi works like a charm on Macintosh/hardly ever works in Windows.

That's it.
