1.First set up a no-ip address from no-ip dot com
2.port forward on your router
3. log on to your dreambox using the no-ip address
4. click either VLC or Web-x tv.

The active-x VLC plugin has to be installed on the PC you're sitting at

Also, make sure you change the password on the dreambox coz if anyone knows your no-ip address, they can access it..

I have tried VLC but it dosn´t work properly, a lot of pixels on the pc-screen When I return to the DB it is freezing and works funny and I have to make a reboot. I have an 24mb connection. Any suggestions ?

It's nice to have a 24mbps connection, but in your case you'll want a big UPLoad. In case of ADSL this is 768kbps at most. ADSL2+ can exceed 1024kbps but not much more. You are looking for a connection with a upload of more than 2048kbps. Fibre ?

If you still want video over a low-upload bandwidth line maybe you want to compress the video with another codec. But that's a complete different ballgame !

Well, in the area where I`m living fibre is not an option. Maybe I can find some other solution in the future. Thanks anyway for the reply
