Unhappy what am I doing wrong?! - 23-May-2008, 17:45

Hi,

I've 2 dm500 clones (intebox 300) and I'd like to share my subscription to the italian bouquet in my house.
readning the forum I was thinking that this was an easy setup procedure, but I'm going crazy to setup the decoders in the right way.

I've install sif 1.91 image and the hotbird setting.

The network configuration is:
deco1: 192.168.1.107/255.255.255.0/192.168.1.1
deco2: 192.168.1.108/255.255.255.0/192.168.1.1

Network is ok: both boxes goes to internet and I ping them from my pc.

I've installed CCCam 2.08 and I've modified the config files.
On both I've set F: TEST1 TEST1
On deco1 I've added C: 192.168.1.108 12000 TEST1 TEST1 yes
On deco2 C: 192.168.1.107 12000 TEST1 TEST1 yes

(My idea is to set both like client/server, in this way I'll be able to use the card on both decoders).

Before to insert my regular card, I've tried to put some keys on deco1 and I've seen that the keys were working on the local decoder and on the remote decoder too.
So, they are connected!
But if I put my card on deco1, deco2 doesn't use the remote card (black screen).

I've seen on the forum that is better to use newcs1.50+cccam 2.08.

With newcs1.50+cccam 2.08 even deco one with the card in his reader doesn't work!

So I've tried to use MGcamd1.30a+newcs1.60b.

With this cam, deco1 works great with my regolar card.

So, I've configured newcs.xml on both decoders where I have added user "test1", the newcamd section is this:
<newcamdserver>
<enabled>Yes</enabled>
<name>newcs</name>
<des***>01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14</des***>
<user>
<name>dummy</name>
<password>dummy</password>
<au>on</au>
<sidoverride>off</sidoverride>
<spider>No</spider>
</user>
<user>
<name>test1</name>
<password>test1</password>
<au>on</au>
<sidoverride>off</sidoverride>
<spider>No</spider>
</user>
</newcamdserver>

The other part of the file is like the default.

So, I've changed the newcamd.list adding this line on deco1:
CWS = 192.168.1.108 10001 test1 test1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

and this on deco2:
CWS = 192.168.1.107 10001 test1 test1 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan newcs

After a reboot of both decoders, deco1 still works with the original card, deco2 remain black.

Looking at the newcs web console I see that dummy user is connected but test1 is offline on both decoders.

I'm going crazy: what's wrong?!

Someone can help me?

Thanks a lot

Dave

Use CCcam :

Box 1

F: box2 bedroom
C: 192.168.1.108 12000 box1 mainroom no

Box 2

F: box1 mainroom
C: 192.168.1.107 12000 box2 bedroom no

That should work for you.

How about a nice introduction post ???

For every box you need to create a seperate C and F line!

For instance:

Server: F: box1 box1 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }
F: box2 box2 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }

Box1; C: IPserver 12000 box1 box1
box2; C: IPserver 12000 box2 box2

This way both boxes are connected to your server.

I'm beginning to think that cCcam 1.7.1 can't talk to cCcam 2.0.9. I've tried most tutorials on the net without success. My card is in the older version.

Am I right in thinking so?

All with CCcam 1.7.1 should update. This version is old and outdated.
