Another newbie problem : local card doesn't update - 16-July-2008, 01:10

Hi everybody,

my second thread here, and another newbie problem :
I'm sharing a local card (Orange TV) with my Dream 500 +, properly set with Gemini 4.4.0 and CCcam 2.0.9.
Sharing working fine so far, no freeze or anything to complain about...
My problem is that I don't receive update for my local card.
Here is what I get in CCcaminfo :
handled 174(152) ecms and 121(0) emms
Viaccess card
...
valid from 5-7-2008 untill 14-7-2008

In my cccam.cfg, I wrote this : DISABLE EMM : no just to make sure.
Is there anything I should configure to be able to update my local card ?

Thanks for your help

there is something in this forum about this but i better describe it myself.
make an F line in CCcam.cfg looking like this:

F: your user name to box (ex. root) your pass to box (ex. dreambox) port (ex. 12000) 2 0 1 .

1 stands for autoupdate

regards

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
I thought that "1 for autoupdate" was to accept update from my peers.
What I would like is to update my local card (inserted in my box) from satellite.
Soory if this sounds stupid to you, Im new to this and I'm a bit confused...

I'll try what you suggest anyway, even if I don't understand...

Thanks.

Sorry,

I tried your trick, but it does't seem to work...
Are you sure I have to write port number on this f-line ? I never wrote port number in f-line, only in c-line, I'm a bit confused

Any idea what is going wrong with my card ?
Still have this message : valid from 5-7-2008 untill 14-7-2008
I tride to stay for at least 30 mn on several channels from my provider to get my card updated, but still no luck....

Any help is welcome !

Thank you all !

Allright,

I finally realized what was going on.
I missed some info about my card and about how to properly understand info given by CCCaminfo.php .
In fact my satellite provider only gave me access to certain channels for a few days, as a special offer.
That's what I didn't understand.
So in cccam info, the "valid from 5-7-2008 untill 14-7-2008" was only refering to certain idents (channels), which I cannot get rights for anymore.
It was all misunderstanding after all.
My fault.

Thanks for trying to help me anyway.
Bye.

i think u do put the port.
but try another line without the port number.

or make a Cline of your server put it in CCcam.cfg and then check if u are connected as client to this server.
