Question Changing flash image - 05-April-2007, 01:13

Hi
I currently have hydra 1.09 image in my 7020 flash and was thinking of changing it to colossem v1.0,I have a hdd installed with several images on it I do not want to loose these images.if i reflash my flash will my box still reconise the hdd so i can still use these images if i choose ?anyone done this and was there any problem?

After the flashing use Flash Wizzard pro 6.3, fw will find these images on hdd

if you are useing the Hydra...it was a top image in its day, and a shame the Hydra team have gone

but; the new images are a must have...I wold recomend the gemini or the Nabilsat images

Sorry for not replying but had forgot where i posted this thread.Iknow I can use flashto see the images on my hdd that was not the question,
If I reflash my flash does it still see my hdd as it was or will i have to reformat it.do not want to loose the images that on the hdd but would like to change flash image
so if anyone has changed thier flash image did it effect how the hdd was seen by the new image

had you thought about removing the Hdd ribbon cable and re flashing the flashthen re connecting it ?
Try out the new Helenite images from PLI( very good)

The data on your HDD should not be altered when you flash a new image onto a CF or USB card/key.
I have done this numerous times and the new image always sees the music/movies/jpegs etc. on my HDD.
I can not garantee your setup is the same but I can see no reason why it would not be.
When you have done, please post a conclusion just to clear this up for other "newbies.
