Desperate cry for help with CCCam - 06-August-2009, 17:46

For the last 2 weeks I have been trying to get started with card sharing. I have a dreambox DM600 PVR. With no motor (Astra 19.2E and Hotbird 13E). I am getting card sharing from a paid local who set my dreambox.
But now I would like to set up my own server and get some real CS of my own. I have read tutorials and followed Forum discussions etc.. Things seem to be ok,
I have created a dnsalias which is referring to my dreambox. A friend of mine can also ping my dreambox.
Sent some C lines and got some c lines
But I am always seen as being offline!!!!
Can anyone with some experience, lots of patience and some time PM me and help me sort this out.

you have to configure port forwarding in your router.

Don't be surprised that I ask you to prove your locals; ECS does not need card fakers...

Try forwarding ports 12000 & 16001, to your dreambox IP, from within your router.
Without them forwarded you can connect to peers, but they can`t connect to you................ hence always offline :)

Have you made sure that the username and password that is set as your peer's f-line is exactly the same as the username and password at the end of your c-line for that peer? Also, if they have the same username for more than 1 peer that can cause problems.

do not open port 16001 no need to! just the server listen port which is set to 12000 as default. Please change this!!
this can be done by adding this line to cccam config:-
SERVER LISTEN PORT: 12000
change this number and then open just this port number in the router to you dreambox/server ip. do not for get to save config then reboot dreambox.
opening extra ports is not advised only your cccam listen port needs to be open to the out side all other ports keep closed.
only open other ports if you no what your doing.
alot of people wonder why the lines go missing from there boxes !!!!
also some routers need the firewall rules adding after you have opened ports eg netgear routers! just a thought
hope this helps
