dm 500s vlc stream no go??? - 20-November-2009, 12:44

hi i have seen numerous guides throughout the net about this topic but i just cannot achieve streaming through vlc player, alot of guides i looked at are older so is set up any easier for latest versions, ideally i want to access my channels from remote location but i got to get over the hurdle of actually been able to use vlc first on home network.. its drivin me crazy, im on darkstar 2 image. if possible could some one PLEASE just talk me through a guide and i see where im going wrong. thanks.

bro its easy and it work's well use pli jade 3 image on dm500 and the streaming on home lan is mint 100%.
its very simple to set up with pli image, if you visit there website download image from there if you want and there is a full wiki with step by step guide. when you have it flashed it will take you about 30 - odd seconds to set up.
it maybe the same for your image but i found pli for streaming on internal lan the best been using pli now for some time because of the lan streaming.
also no need for any other programms other than vlc...... its all built in to your pli web interface !!
