dm 600 record help please - 24-April-2009, 12:29

hi i have recently got a new dm 600 ..i have not quite thought about the h drive issue ..untill i looked at connections on the back ... i would imagine that if i bought a ide hdrive or patta i think i would have to connect up through a cable inside the reciever i have done this once with atm 9100 but they are tottally crap and it would freeze through recoeding ( images were pap at that time ...anyway whats me options friends ..do i connect this way and wheirs the best place to get hdrive ...many thanks ..

got a hd connected inside my dm600
no problems at all
never freezes and not as hot as ud expect

cheers hampster have you any advice on where to get a hd m8 ide i think ...they must be quite small cause the dmbox is very small itself .. thanks

Hi you need a IDE laptop drive to fit into your DM600, I got a 120GB from
%buyer last year and have not had any problems with. Just be careful when you connect it as there are no markings on the cable to state which way round it should be connected.

You need a 2.5" IDE Hard drive. I suggest you don't go beyond 160GB for stability and speed reasons. An internal hard drive will astronomically change your experience with the DreamBox.
