Dm500 Server Problem With Outgoing Connections - 27-August-2011, 17:58

I have had a Linux Server serving a few of my friends and family for a while but I have now setup a DM500 as a server and I am trying to share and also receive on this box but am running into the following problem. I think it is dns related but would really appreciate some feedback from fellow members here.

1) Can I have my DM500 setup as a server with people connecting to my server sharing my local card as well as at the same time the same DM500 connecting to other peoples servers receiving their shares?

2) For clients to be able to connect to me I obviously have to have my DNS updater running so people get pointed to my box via the dyndns address, but I also have to use a different nameserver address (204.13.248.76) which Is the dns of dyn.com i believe. If I try to use my normal ISP's nameserver address then I cannot get incoming connections of clients although I can connect as a client to other servers and receive their shares.

If somebody could shed somelight on top what I am doing wrong then I would appreciate it greatly. If I haven't been clear enough regarding my problem, let me know and ill try to elaborate.

the answer to you first question is yes for as long as you open neccesarie port and also u may consider to run newcs on th same dm500s as ur card server as well as using d cccam config as ur point to keep your f and cline. by pasting ur nline here with 256 trick, this is allow as it is ur local
to your second question:
Name server doesnt com to play here at all ,what you need here is you hostname e.g C: noname.org ,also to set up anyadyn or set up your dyndns router page with your host user name and pass .i hope this helps
