DM8000 Quick review - 17-November-2008, 19:59

I have used a DM8000 for some days and have tested different settings.

I did test this with both DVB-T and DVB-C tuner + two integrated DVB-S2

It does look and feel like a large DM800, both regarding the form factor and the menus, which is Enigma2.
So configure this box is rather easy.

I did have both DVD, 500GB HD and wireless interface inside the box.
And there is one mayor bad thing. Only one SATA connector!!!
To connect the DVD, you need to add a USB to SATA adapter using the inside USB connector. Not sure if this is due to that this is a beta box.

I did only find two usable images. Oozoone and CSV from Gemini team.

The DVB-C and DVB-S2 did work as they supposed too, but the DVB-T did not give any audio, only picture.
Wireless interface do use a mini PCMCIA connector.
I will post some image of the unit later.

USB to SATA convertor
