blueray can't be used under linux.
because of the HDCP.

Hi Agent69,
thanks for the reply. Actually my point is if I install BD drive can I record on it? So far recorded movies on hard drive can be burned on dvd, but if I have recorded hd content, can i burn it on bd disk? HDCP is protecting digital entertainment content that uses the DVI interface - but what if I only want to record, not to play the disks on the plasma screen?

Hi there,
So do you think the will be a driver comming to play blue ray on the DM8000?
Will the driver come from Linus or the software developers like Nabilosat or Newnigma?
I now have two DM8000 units in my house, both equiped with Optiarc blue ray players but both are not playing Blue ray...yet....
There are so many different developers for de DM softwarem I would think it would be a kick for the first on the get blue ray working in their software right?
