Question HD boxes - 06-March-2010, 06:58

i am interested in upgrading to HD and would be grateful if someone could advise what would be the best DM to get. I see the 800 & 8000 but have just read a post that says there is a 500hd coming out next week. Are all these boxes capable of sharing a local card?? i currently have a DM500 clone and love it so a HD version with PVR and twin tuner would be great

which box is better??

any advice appreciated

hi
the BEST one would be the dm8000 with no doubt. however you pockets will need to be very deep indeed. as for the dm800 personally i wouldnt waste my money.

maybe have a look at the azbox. this doesnt have twin tuners though but the azbox plus does. there are also varients out there but i dont know about them enough to mention them.

dm8000 will set you back about 900.

hth

there is only one hd receiver from DMM with twin tuner: the 8000HD.

Don't be surprised that I ask you to prove your locals; ECS does not need card fakers...

Hi.
Don't speak in the future.
Dm 500hd is real now.
Go "googling" and find it in a legal store near you.

Cheers

Got my DM500HD now for a week, can't be more please'd!
Runs like a charme. (it also has no heat problems like the DM800)
If you don't need a twin tuner or a internal HDD go for the 500HD, you won't be disapointed.

Edit : NFS mounts also work without problems if you want to record anything.

A friend of mine is using the VU+ Duo for a week now and so far is looking good.
A lot faster then the DM8000. Only thing is the enormous size of the thing ;-)
