Help needed with making dream server work - 26-January-2009, 00:07

Hello, good day. Below, thats my router setup. its a linksys and I don't have any modem. Just a cable from my ISP and a hub somewhere in the block ( I think) cos when I am using ms vista, I can see other users on the same network. I guess thats why I have not been able to make my dreambox a server. Any advice? thanks a later. And also, I think the IP xxx.21.xxx.180 is a static IP cos if I change the MAC of any pc or laptop to the one used for registering, I get thesame IP. Can any one help me, on how to pass this hoops? thanks...

and the question is ? :)

i would suggest breaking down the questions
with wrt54g, u can setup port forwarding pretty easily, but to do so, you need to set your dreamboxes ip as static, since we don't want it changing...

cheers

the question is, how do I get info forwarded to my 500s? Seems to me the port forwarding isn't doing ****!! When I activate the dns.org in the router, the router updates it with ""IP Address: xxx.21.xxx.180"" and when I try to access my dns.org, it takes me to the router and not my 500s:-(
