Ifconfig - 03-October-2007, 04:24

hi guys i need some explanation , can someone tell me what the bandwith usage is from ifconfig because i get 2 readings
Link encap:ethernet ....
Link encap:local loopback ....
which one is my internet traffic, is it the local loopback or ethernet please help

not lo.

it'll be something like eth0.

lo is used to get different programs to communicate with each other.


Gentoo Linux - Nexus-s, Linux VDR - 2 x ATSC HD cards, Hauppauge PVR 500 for analog US Cable, 3 x Hauppauge MVP's running Vomp on VDR, UK TV on IPTV.

Not a single sat dish at the moment. :-(
