Hi Guys,
Newbie here but have got 99% there. Have 2 boxes a dm500 and a dm800HD which I got yesterday. trying to set up sharing between them Had all sorts of trouble with CCcam initially. I have flashed the DM 800hd with ramimaher clone image for 800 hd. BL76D sim 2.01. This went fine but struggled to get cccam on. Then found addons where I downloaded and installed 2.2.1. This didn't have a config file with it. After more menu searching found config file to download as well. So went to var/etc and edited config on dm800 (running fine with sly card) put in F: username password of client (dm500) Went to Dm500 and put in C: server IP (dm800) 12000 user name password of client. Rebooted both but cant clear channels on dm500. I followed a tut to the letter. I have checked on DM800 and it says cccam is active but never see the message when it boots. Dont know if thats particular to this image as darkstar on my dm500 shows a message when cccam starts. Sorry so longwinded but trying to give a clear picture.
Oh I also have port forwarded port 12000 in my router to the server IP addy. Can I assume that as my sly card is clearing channels in the dm800 then cccam is active as the boxkey goes in cccam.cfg or is that not the case

Any help really appreciated Cheers guys

first of all---->>

with cs specially sky......DO NOT USE PORT 12000!!

on 800---> F: my_home sharing 3 0 0 { 0:0:1 }

0n 500 --> C: internalipfrom800 15366 my_home sharing no { 0:0:3 }

and it works...

dont for get to change listen port in cfg..to 15366 (or what ever u like :)

there is no need for opening any ports on router , with internal sharing.

quick clarification - 09-May-2011, 17:58

Hi Cold007 thanks for response I am changing the config files to reflect your config. One question on the dm800 (server) config file it has the derver listening port set to 12000 and it has a hash in front of it. Do I need to remove that hash as I am led to believe any hashed lines are inactive. I will also change that number from 12000 as suggested Again cheers

the listen port.->

SERVER LISTEN PORT : 15366

#SERVER LISTEN PORT : 15366

the hash # mark---> omitts everything behind it til next line.

also, on dm800, i think the cfg file is in /etc, not /var/etc. unless of course you run cccam manually with the -c parameter.

yeps, and he's using dm800HD which is enigma2. that's why he is not seeing any active cccam.

it would help if he can use telnet to manually run cccam and see the debug logs for any errors, etc. simply installing and pressing the remote does not help. he claims to have read a tutorial, but which tutorial? everything is explained in plain english from the tutorials here that it's very hard to make a mistake if you follow it one step at a time.
