MKV and DM800 problems

HI all..
I have Nabilosat Blackhole v0.6 and an external hdd seagate 640gb..

Some movies(mkv) bluray rips playing with a little freezing but some mkvs i cant6 see anything the image is ****!!!!

Can i do anything to play mkv without problems??

All the mkv that i test havent any problem.

What about to change image?

Is there anyone who plays mkv in dm800 without any problems!??

do the mkv work on a pc for example?

if they do, check which codec is used....
i think there are some encoding codecs the dm800 doesn't support, h264 codecs level > 4.1 to be precise

furthermore, DTS sound isn't supported either, only Ac3

in a certain movie mkv i found that h264 level is 4.1 ...
but my box play it but very very bad!!!
Also in other mkvs...every 2 minutes the images freezes a little...

Am I the onlyone who has problem with mkv in dm 800???!!!!

i think not many ppl use the dm to play mkv or as a media player

i don't certainly, i got still my xbmc for that

hamster ok xbmc is very good for pc but i have a 32' full hd and i want to play mkv and to watch in my lcd....any ideas??

i just tried an mkv to test, it doesn't work :p
it detects the length of the movie, shows up the interface, but no video or sound... (sound is normal, the stream is dts).

i tried on another media player i have and it worked find (its the media player of my isp).

I guess the dm800 is very picky.
you should be happy it reads some :p
i guess we'll have to wait for future firmwares for more support, since it doesn't need processing power to play h264 as its hardware decoded by chipset.

btw, what firmware you using ?

Yes - works fine for me too on Nabilo image.

Sorry - just reread post. Havent tried from HD just streaming mkv files with VLC..............

Gemini is a very good image about mkv playing, but there are some files that cannot be played in dm800(ex. Gstreamer plugin error), the only way is convert them in another format, for example .mp4, dm800 read them very good.
