i don't think that the router would make too much of a difference in cs'ing.
however, i have only had experience with netgear, and consider them professional and well built devices

why would you go for the DG834G model? it has a built in modem, you sure you want to do that ? (you can use a wireless router with any modem, even the o2 box as you state: you just connect the modem to the router via rj45)

i don't see anything special in that model

Thanks for reply,Iam beginner in dreambox.

Whats the problem with my o2 wireleesbox II is,I just cant set up the ports and other setups for cccam like ip number etc..My friend want give me exchange on cccam, but I think i need new modem-and router in one for better comfort, and with more option like 02wirelessboxII from o2.

That o2wirelessboxII is built with modem as well, jut have pluged now to socket-BT.

If you know how set up o2wirellesbox to cccam, please tell me,than I will dont buy netgear.

Why NetgearDG834G?Couse I just found it in comet and want buy it tomorrow, but If you know any other better modem-router in comet or argos tell me please.

many thanks again for reply.

dude
if its just to port forward that you are going to spend money, why bother
the White O2 box is a Thomson Speedtouch 585, the black one is a Thomson Speedtouch 780WL.

so simply, depending on which model you have, follow the guide below:
White 02:
Port Forwarding for the Thomson/Alcatel SpeedTouch 585
Black 02:
Port Forwarding for the Thomson/Alcatel SpeedTouch 780

(reminder: superuser account by default is SuperUser/O2Br0ad64nd)
cheers

OK-so yesterday I get it sorted on my old router white o2wirelessboxII,setuped port forwarding and cccam works fine.

Now I try with gbox.

Have domain on NO-IP,I puted detaills on to my router(there is a option for DynDNS-no-ip)but my friend cant connect to me.
Any idea how to sort it or sort it on dgn2000 netgear couse have this router as well.

Thanks again for advice freinds.

i use that netgear router for my setup flawless, in fact i recently bought a new N range gigabit router and the old netgear 10/100 still did better on file transfer speeds.
