New DM500S signal problem help please

I just received my box and I'm currently in Iraq working. I can not lock to any sat, I am trying to get Hotbird I had working on a different box. I have searched and I cant find the problem it came pre flashed with the dk 1.0 image. I've installed darkstar 2, gemini 4.20 samething I even changed the lnb settings and the samething. I'm currently trying the original image with a factory reset to see what happens. I read somewhere about bridging a fuse and transitor for the signal problem anyone else heard of that?

dm500 is known of having a low sensitivity level, infact i think its related to the power output to the lnb, which makes scanning channels/locking satellites harder with same dish/ lnb and different boxes.

Infact, i had to switch from dm500 to dm600 because the 500 just didn't want to scan all the channels on the astra 2b satellite i had whereas the original sky box would have them show up perfectly.
