hi kuky3
as far as I know the cardreader needs external power supply to work with DM7020. I think mini bee does not have this, so it might not work.

Please correct me if I am mistaken!

cheers

@ charly
CCcam2.1.1 normally, but i do have newcs installed if i really have to use it.
I'm trying not to at the moment :)

@ dionysos
Yes your correct it has a Serial connector for the data but also requires me to put its other lead into a USB port so as to power it up. I have USB ports to power it.

well if you say it gets power from usb, then go for it. I think however it requires an individual power plug.
The only thing I needed to do to make my SC-Master Dragon cardreader run on my Cccam was the following:
- I had to connect it via serial port on my DM7020 and to chose the correct "read-mode" on my cardreader
- then I had to go into CCcam.cfg under "Other config settings" and to delete the # in front of "SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/0" and it worked from itself.

Good luck

there's no switch on a minibee. you have to use smartbee program to set it to either phoenix or smartmouse. and these things are a bloody pain in the *** to get to work with. have two of these, one works, one doesn't. and the one that works will not work if the "card" indicator is lit, you have to push it all the way in, the light goes off then only the card is detected. figure that out, lol.

so it's a hit and miss thing with this smart minibee. go with smargo.

HP-Compaq DC5000 MT 1.5GB RAM
Debian Squeeze with Smargos
CCcam 2.1.3

It took me umpteen attempts, pulling it out a bit and back in again etc ... there seems to be a magic sweet spot for it connect.
