Problems Connecting 2nd server on the net - 21-February-2007, 22:52

Hi there,

Now i want to setup my 2nd and i tried and i tried but it want connect to the net. The 7000s is no problem but the 7020s (the new one) stays offline. When i disconnect my 7000 and let the 7020 act as the 7000 (same adress passw etc...) he go's online without any problem. Can somebody please help me figger this out.

With best regards,
Frits

yes indead, i want my 7020si + 7000s go online with same router.
I use port 2502 and 192.168.1.5 for dreambox 7000 (forwarded in router)
I use port 2505 and 192.168.1.6 for dreambox 7020 (forwarded in router)
and the connection between the two boxes: i use the same ports

(in second dreambox ((7020)) i use in cwshare the internal adress in M-line (192.168.1.6), maybe this could be the problem but i dont think so, maybe u can help me further.

With best regards and thanks for answering,

Frits

Dear pothth,
thes are the questions and answers, hope u can help:

do you want both connect to the internet? YES
Have both the same port or different?
7000s= 192.168.1.5 and port using 2502 (forwarded in router)
7020s= 192.168.1.6 and port using 2505 (forwarded in router)
7000 >> 7020= port2502 >> port2505 (same ports as i use for internet)
(cwshare in 7020 , i use in M the intern ip-adress 192.168.1.6) i hope this make no difference because the dns-adress is not used for cwshare but only untill the router ) but if u now better let me know, please,

with best regards and thanks for answering

Hi,

so if i read this i think there is no problem to connect your Boxes intern or?
The problem for the internet share can be your router. The ports are very close. do you have tried to change the port from 2505 to a range of 8000?
Using the ip adress in M-line is not ok, using it in D-Line is ok.
Please try a other port.

I hope that will fix your problem.
