Tune Failed problem on DM800 - problem identified -

Hey guys, I have a DM800 and for a long time I was getting Tune Failed message when I switch channels... I was running Gbox on it. Tonight I migrated from gbox to cccam and the problem is totally gone! Running Gemini 4.3. Thought I'd share it with everyone... cos I know lots of people are having the same problem... it seems gbox was the culprit. Cheers, Zuksh

Gbox never worked for me. It kept freezing the entire receiver. Granted, I had no Gbox peers, but still one would think Gbox would just step aside and leave one to FTV. |

It's usually a switch problem / diseqc configuration problem or lnb problem / cable problem. I cannot see how a cam could affect the tune in of a tuner. Maybe you changed something else in your config without realizing it. |

My setup is "usals" set to "simple" Using Bouquets especially, my 800 just sits there until I choose another channel on the same sat then bingo. If I go to Premier Sports Portal on 19e from say BBC1 on 28e it just sits there if i then choose another say Bundesliga 1 bingo. the can happen going from 13e > 1w or 13e >19e. 28e is better but can get "stuck". Thoughts? Vj531 Server on 24/7 |

im affraid im still having the problem more and more channels seem to get affected, and ive always run cccam. anyone know why it keeps saying tuning failed on some channels? atm i lost just about all chans, only a few dutch chans work :S |
