Two Boxes - 28-April-2009, 10:45

Hi,

Is it possible to run two different boxes at the same time. I have a DM600 and a Eagle and I can only get one to work at any one time beacuse of my router settings.

The DMZ need to pointed to one of the box, I have a netgear dg834v2, please can some let me know how I can have two boxes on the same network with different IP.

Thank you

SEP

1. never use DMZ! always port forward since its the only secure way to protect attemps to hack from outside
2. just use different ports on the two boxes and both will work without issues (readup on cccam.cfg tutorials)

cheers

When I initially tried to set cardsharing I followed the tut but could not get it to work. A kind forum member helped me set it all up. Without the DMZ people cannot connect to my DM.

Any suggestions on a different router set up.

Thanks

simple

just follow the guide here:
Port Forwarding for the Netgear DG834v2

just replace anything refering to shareaza as "dreambox1", then do the same thing for "dreambox2"
only thing you have to make sure is at step "start port" and "end port" they have to be different

i.e for dreambox1 you can choose start=12001 and end=12001
and for dreambox2 you can choose start=12002 and end=12002
the mode = tcp for both

and in you ccccam.cfg's you just configure those ports

cheers

Initially when I was setup up the connection and everything I did the look at that website but could not get it working.

I have tired whay you have suggested but still cannot get even one box to work if it is not in the DMZ.

I can send you screen shots of the router setup if that is okay with you to guide me.

Thank you for your time.
