Exclamation Viasat NDS3 Card (016) - 01-April-2009, 21:12

Damn... I just got a new Viasat Card, and I think it's a new version of card:

NDS3 since the card number starts with 016

Are there any working solutions???

Normally I use CCcam on debian server with smartgo, but no luck:-(

I would appreciate some responses on the subject:-)

Yes, I believe the card is paired with original set-top box (activated).
I have tried everything....

Boxkey consist of 11 digits, and in cccam config is the option 8, how to solve?

Do I need to convert the digits somehow?

Is setting up the boxkey enough??

Remove the last digit. Convert to hex. If You end up with 7 digits instead of 8, put a 0 in front.

Can anyone confirm that this works?

Cheers,

I tried that. It does not work.

I used CCcam_2.1.0. I tried removed the first digit from right, change to hex, put it in boxkey in CCcam.cfg. It did not work.

I tried to remove first digit from right and first digit from left. Change to hex. Add a zero to the left and use it as boxkey. It did not work either.

Anyone?

2.1.0 should read the new Viasat Nordic without boxkey. 2.0.11 should read with boxkey. Removing first and last digit is used, where the boxkey is 12 digits only.

Thanks HaCKaMaC.

Actually I was just informed that DM7025 cannot read VIASAT card using the internal card reader, and this probably my problem. I will have to get hold of a smergo+ reader instead, then 2.1.0 would probably be enough.
