Whats the limit with 7020? CCcam... - 30-January-2008, 16:30

Hi,

Id like to know what the limits are. I have a CCcam Server with Nabilosat 0.8 on the Dreambox 7020si. I share 3 local cards only on hop1 with a ADSL connection of 6000 kbits. What are the limits of this constellation?

Thanks in advance!!!

test it and see..... your limits may be different to others, there are alot of variables, with whom are you connecting ? what speed do they have ? which cards? are they overclocked? do you filter the C and F lines ? do you use a prio file?......are there dead f lines....how many Hops do you share? how many hops do you take?
i have 35 peers and a stable system......yours maybe capable of more or less??

Hi and thanks for your answer.

I just asked, because Im a newbie and im just growing up with my little Dreamboxserver. I just wanted to hear some experiences and yours is already a very good one. more than 30 peers sounds good... ;-)

Thanks

Perhaps you can just tell me your configuration to compare it with my one. I just wanted to use Hop 1 shares. I think I could get more than 40 peers. Lets see.

Im looking at 2 sats, 19,2 and 13. My plan is to have D+ local card and allow 2 hops and get Premiere and Sky IT on 1 hop to share it on 1 hop else. So no more than 2 Hops would be done. I also look at small pings, so the distances are not very great. At the moment I hope to reach 30 peers.

Thanks once more in advance for every answer.

your always best off going for quality not quantity.
with only two sats 15 to 20 peers will be ample and give you all providers.
