7025 has two tuners (SD only!)
8000 has two fixed sat tuners and you can add two optional tuners, you can choose between dvb-s, dvb-c and dvb-t ... and it's HD capable!

hehe..slow down..2 internal HD tuners working correct,but when I inserted third DVBS-2 tuner HD Alps BSBE-2 same is in DM800 third tuner often stops with POP up Tune failed!Dream-Multimedia doesnt have support for other DVB-S2 tuners yet..only cable and terrestrial tuners

@ulovsudhoven:
That is NOT entirely correct.

Yes ... DMM doesn't support the Alps BSE-2 tuners in the DM 8000. But if you read my posting again, I never wrote about optional dvb-s2 tuners ... only dvb-s !!!

There still are the DVB-S tuners that are in the DM 600 and 7025. They work PERFECTLY in the DM 8000. They are not DVB-S2, only DVB-S. But as a third tuner they are perfect. And since the Tuner Management is VERY good, it'll always take the DVB-S tuner for SD channels first, so you'll always have the DVB-S2 tuner free if you need it...

I have that configuration myself ... DM 8000 with the internal two DVB-S2 tuners and one optional DVB-S tuner.

PS: DMM will release new DVB-S2 tuners that WILL work in the DM 8000. Until then, the DVB-S ones are a perfect interim solution.

z0dac>OK,when you typed..you can choose between dvb-s, dvb-c and dvb-t ... and it's HD capable!,I tought do you mean this:user has a choise between four HD tuners in reciever DM8000HD..
I bought cheap third DVBS-2 tuner because for mi looks like a good idea to use three HD tuners especially when orbit is full HD channels..but not working correct yet..maybe new drivers can be helpful..in NewNigma2 its working relative stable
