Which dreambox image should I choose?Here are my requirements... - 13-September-2010, 08:35

Hi Everyone,

I read through many threads and this one seems like a really nice forum!

I have a clone DM800 with Gemini 5.1 and BL 76. It is around 2 and a half weeks old. It has a few annoying problems, that is why I would like to switch.

MyTube Player won't work. Gives me a message that my DM800 is not original.
I cannot connect to my PC HardDrive to play movies. When I try to mount the shared folder or drive on my pc through the networkbrowser it just hangs on the message: Activating your network mount. Only restart helps.
When I switch between channels sometimes I get black screen, and I am not sure if that is because of cccam. When I switch on another channel and switch back, it works.
Sometimes when I try to use Subtitle Player I get a green screen full of linux messages, then the Box just restarts.
I am not sure it gives me the correct SNR values because HD channels work with like 67-69% SNR and as far as I know from a T-Home guy, HD channels require 80% or more SNR to work correctly.

My ideal image would be...
- Stable and the least buggy (I don't want to install a new one every few months I want it to be longterm)
- Easy and less risky/tricky to install
- Simple and well organized channel list
- Easy to use and simple interface
- Must work with my Opticum DM3800 rotor flawlessly (I use USALS now so it must be easy to set this up on the new image)
- Simple install of CCCam and/or the others
- It must be able to connect to my network hdd and play movies from there (mostly mkv)
- MyTube or a similar alternative should work with it
- Should have a good subtitle plugin or option with hungarian subtitles (possibly with automatic synchronization with the movie I want to watch)
- It should be fast
- I don't care much about the graphical quality of it but it would be a nice addition
- Good community support for it if something happens that needs to be solved

So which image would You suggest me?

Thanks in advance!

Best Wishes,
Allanon
