External card reader on AzBox HD - 08-August-2009, 12:51

Here are short instructions how to run and make some USB models of external CardReaders to work on AzBox HD, so that they can use with CCcam 2.1.1 or with NewCS 1.67 RC1.

First of all, it is necessary to copy the file in / lib directory, and install via telnet usbserial.ko and pl2303.ko drivers.

Connect to your HD AzBox via FTP and transfer files in /tmp folder:
usbserial.ko and pl2303.ko (You must bear in mind that after each restart, contents of folders /tmp, including these two file and be deleted)

After you have transfer 2 files via FTP in a folder /tmp, it is necessary to connect via telnet, and install 2 drivers (usbserial.ko and pl2303.ko).

It can be done by the following commands:

nsmod /tmp/usbserial.ko
insmod /tmp/ftdi_sio.ko ( if you have FTDI based device )
insmod /tmp/pl2303.ko ( if you have PL2303 based device )
Now, finally you external USB Card reader works, and you can now use it in combination with CCcam, NewCS or mbox.

Thanks to iPod from azbox4YU.
