2 bad channels - 16-February-2014, 23:56

Hi,

I'm getting signal issues on only 2 channels ... I've checked the dish position which is pointed correctly...

Channels BT Sports 1 and Setanta Ireland... the channels just pixelises every few seconds... not all the time but frequent enough...

all the other channels are ok...

I've re-flashed the box and scanned from fresh. I'm thinking it might be an LNB issue or tunner on the receiver.

any thoughts anyone?

Those are two of the weakest channels for me also. Perhaps your dish is in need of maximising though you say you checked the dish did you you use a signal meter? Another thing is your location as this will be a factor as will be your dish size, further be aware of Eutelsat 28A -> Astra 1N/2A/2F changeover you can read about that here by cutting and pasting this link into your browser

ALL BT channels are now on Astra2F, weak for me too.
You need to reallign your dish 1001% in accuracy, otherwise = problems!

Thanks Epulon & renshai...

This explains it... cheers for the info... I'm using a mini dish pointing to 28E but I've a motorised 1m dish to install over the next few weeks - just looking into putting it on a pole at the back of the house out of sight..

Good info.. cheers!
